APPzzzzz

Describe the challenge:
The challenge is to create a play list for a person based on what he or she is doing. The user would be able to enter key artists or bands he or she likes then enter an activity (sleeping, studying, running for example) and the app would create a play list depending on these selections. The app could introduce the user to new music and also cater to current likes. The music would be streamed but there would be an option to purchase songs/playlists/albums through iTunes.
Who is the target audience?

The target audience would be anyone who likes to listen to and discover music. Most likely high school to college age kids.

What does the audience currently think about the brand or group?
The audience probably already uses a variety of music-listening platforms. Usually, this audience is open to finding new ways to listen to music and explore music-related technology.
What would we like the target to think and feel?
I would like them to feel adventurous and open to new music but satisfied with the choices of the app.

Which facts, evidence or thoughts will assist in this change of thinking?
Like Pandora, the app would have to be pretty accurate in understanding the user's taste. The app would have to be up to date on new artists.
What is the brand essence?
Cool, eye opening, conducive.
What is the key emotion that will build a relationship with the core audience?

Catering to the user's music tastes. Being all about the user.

What media will best facilitate our goal?
Smart phones.
What are the most critical elements?
Music selection.
What is the single most important takeaway?
The user listening to the music he or she likes but discovering new tunes as well.
What do we want the audience to do?
Same as above.
